Who we are
Young InnoPreneurs, Inc. is a youth innovation and community-insights organization. This policy explains how information may be handled when you use our public website at younginnopreneurs.com and related Young InnoPreneurs web pages.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to information collected through the public website, including general inquiry and updates forms. Program registration, school or partner-hosted participation, Youth Voice & Innovation Insights Lab projects, and other youth-serving activities may use additional consent, safeguarding, and data-use processes that are specific to the engagement.
Information you choose to provide
If you contact us through the website, we may receive information such as your name, email address, organization, inquiry type, and message. If you subscribe for updates, we may receive your email address and information needed to manage that request.
Please do not submit sensitive youth, student, health, financial, or other confidential information through the public inquiry form. When more sensitive information is genuinely needed for a program or partner engagement, we aim to use a separate, purpose-specific process with appropriate permissions and safeguards.
Youth and family information
The public website is designed to help youth, families, schools, and partners learn about Young InnoPreneurs. It is not intended to function as a general repository for student records or sensitive participant data.
The Find Your Starting Point readiness diagnostic is designed to provide a browser-based recommendation and does not request, submit, or store personal information through the website.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting, security, spam-prevention, caching, and related technical services may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, referral pages, timestamps, and cookies or similar technical data needed to operate, secure, and improve the website. We currently use CleanTalk to help detect spam and automated abuse; that service may process technical and form-related signals for that purpose.
How we use information
- Respond to inquiries and partnership requests.
- Provide updates or information you request.
- Route program, school, community, Insights Lab, sponsorship, mentor, or other inquiries to the appropriate person.
- Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
- Protect against spam, abuse, fraud, or security threats.
- Meet legal, contractual, or administrative obligations where applicable.
Service providers and external platforms
We may use service providers to operate parts of the website. Our public inquiry and updates forms currently use Formspree to process submitted form information, and we use CleanTalk to help protect public forms and website interactions from spam and automated abuse. Our website also relies on hosting, caching, content-management, and related technical providers. These providers may process information on our behalf to perform their services.
Links to third-party websites or social platforms are governed by those organizations’ own privacy practices once you leave the Young InnoPreneurs website.
Data sharing and sale
Young InnoPreneurs does not sell participant data. We do not intend to sell personal information collected through the public website. Information may be shared with service providers or partners only when reasonably necessary to operate the website, respond to your request, deliver an agreed service, protect safety and security, or meet legal obligations.
Retention
We aim to keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate administrative or legal needs, or as required by an applicable partner agreement. Program and Insights Lab engagements may use separate retention and deletion terms appropriate to the project.
Your choices and requests
You may contact us to ask about personal information you submitted through the public website, request a correction, unsubscribe from updates, or request deletion where appropriate and legally permitted.
Safeguarding and responsible youth data practices
Our broader safeguarding, consent, youth-participation, accessibility, and data-use commitments are described on our Trust & Safety page.
Security
We use reasonable organizational and technical measures intended to protect information handled through the website. No website or online transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so sensitive or confidential participant information should not be submitted through the public contact form.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, tools, or operating practices change. The published version displays the most recent effective date.
