Impact

IMPACT

Impact is more than attendance.

Young InnoPreneurs measures what young people learn, what they create, what opportunities they gain, what partners value, and what action follows. We distinguish verified evidence from targets and projections, and we build a traceable evidence trail from participation to growth to partner and community impact.

Youth growth

Agency & Purpose; Problem & Systems Understanding; Research & Listening; Solution Design; Prototyping & Execution; Impact, Financial Capability & Sustainability; Communication & Storytelling; and Collaboration & Leadership.

Tangible evidence

Challenge statements, research notes, stakeholder maps, prototypes, budgets, pitches, portfolios, reflections, mentor feedback, dashboards, insight briefs, final presentations, and Next Opportunity Plans.

Partner action

Partner feedback, renewal decisions, recommendations adopted, youth-informed decisions, and documented follow-through.

Our evidence standard

Every substantive cohort or pilot should leave behind enough evidence to understand who participated, what they completed, what changed, what they produced, what the partner learned, and what happens next. Participant growth is reviewed through portfolio evidence and a common 0–3 competency scale: Not Yet, Emerging, Demonstrated, and Independent/Application. Advancement is based on demonstrated evidence—not attendance or time alone.

  • Defined participant and completion records
  • Pre/post or baseline/endline measures for selected outcomes
  • Youth reflections and facilitator observations
  • Samples of participant work with appropriate permission
  • Partner feedback and renewal/next-step decision
  • For Insights Lab work: consent/data terms, analysis notes, findings, recommendations, and action follow-up

What verified proof will look like

Verified case studies will be published only when the underlying evidence is complete and permissions are clear. Each case study will show the partner challenge, what YIP delivered, who participated, youth learning and portfolio evidence, partner value, delivery economics, what we learned, and the resulting decision: continue, adapt and retest, scale, or pause.
